NAPA COUNTY, CA — A PG&E-contracted helicopter will be flying low in and around St. Helena the next couple of days, a PG&E spokeswoman said. The helicopter will fly in rural areas and is required for work being done on a transmission line outside of St. Helena, Spokeswoman Deanna Contreras said.
The flights are scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and again on Thursday, Contreras said.
The helicopter will fly in and out of a secure landing zone along Sulphur Creek, in Saint Helena, she noted.

"We will contact customers via mail and via an automated phone message if service will be impacted and customers did receive letters in September regarding the planned work," Contreras said. "No traffic detours are expected, as the work is in located in the hills. We will continue to work with the city and county on completing this project safely and as quickly as possible."
