Highway Reopens After Body Found Near Lake Berryessa
It wasn't clear whether the discovery of the body might be connected to the disappearance of a San Joaquin County man.
NAPA VALLEY, CA — State Highway 128 near Lake Berryessa reopened Saturday after the discovery of a body prompted its closure between Monticello Dam and Wragg Canyon Road, the Napa County Sheriff's Office said.
The investigation was turned over to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office, Napa sheriff's spokesman Henry Woffard said. "It appears that the decedent did not die in Napa County," he said.
It wasn't clear whether the discovery of the body might be connected to the disappearance of a San Joaquin County man on Tuesday.

Deputies responded about 8:52 p.m. to the 16000 block of W. Grant Line Road in Tracy to investigate the disappearance of Avtar Singh, 57, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office said.
"Surveillance footage showed a white SUV and three unidentified individuals dressed in dark clothing with the victim at approximately 2:30 p.m.," the Sheriff's Office said on social media. "The victim appears to have entered the vehicle against his will."

Singh was described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing "light-colored traditional Sikh clothing," the Sheriff's Office said.
Anyone with information was urged to contact the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.
