2 Homes Catch Fire In North Napa, Displacing 6 Residents
Both homes and a travel trailer were already in flames when firefighters arrived. Bystanders rescued several pets, including three dogs.
NAPA, CA — Multiple engine crews responded Friday afternoon as flames enveloped two homes and a fifth-wheel travel trailer in north Napa. The structure fire was reported at 1:44 p.m. at 4461 Meadowlark Drive and 4463 Meadowlark Drive— near Salvador Avenue and state Highway 29—Napa fire Capt. Steve Becker confirmed.
Firefighters with both the city and county of Napa fire departments responded to the three-alarm fire and kept it from spreading to neighboring homes.
The fire damaged a one-story home, a two-story home and a fifth-wheel travel trailer between the two homes. Both houses as well as the trailer were already in flames when crews arrived, the captain said.

Bystanders rescued multiple family pets from the burning homes, including three dogs who were taken to a veterinarian to be checked for any possible injuries, Becker said.
No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported.
The Napa Police Department and Red Cross responded to provide assistance to six displaced residents — four people from one home, two from the other.
The Napa Fire Department is asking the public to please stay away from the area of the fire for the next several hours because in addition to fire engines and other fire department vehicles still on scene, crews were also dealing with a water main break.
"Meadowlark is not passable," Becker said.
The fire remains under investigation, with crews expected to remain on scene Friday night and into Saturday.
"We have not confirmed where the fire originated," Becker said.
