Instant, Easy Vehicle Registration? Yes, Now At Napa DMV!
The Napa office was one among a handful of CA Department of Motor Vehicle locales to receive a new Self-Service Terminal.

The California Department of Motor Vehicles announced that there are now 50 DMV field offices with Self-Service Terminals (SSTs). An additional 15 DMV field offices recently received the blue and yellow terminals -- and that includes Napa.
“This machine helps customers who don’t have access to the Internet or need their registration tags immediately” said DMV Director Jean Shiomoto. “Our customers will receive their new registration and sticker within minutes without an appointment.”
The SSTs are designed for customers to get vehicle registration cards and tags instantly. Customer need to bring in the renewal notice DMV sends in the mail or their current registration card.

The easy to use touch screen monitor accepts payments by cash, electronic check, credit, or debit card. The SST is as easy to use as an ATM and is available in English and Spanish.

15 DMV field offices that recently received SSTs: Bakersfield; SW Hawthorne; Oxnard; Fontana; Lodi; Porterville; Fresno; Madera; Stockton; Fresno; North Merced; Ventura; Hanford; Napa; Yuba City.

The first SST was installed at the South Sacramento field office in October 2010 and by January 2015 customers using SSTs had renewed three million registrations.
The SST is just one way customers can renew their registration, they can also go online atwww.dmv.ca.gov, mail it in, or by phone at 1-800-777-0133.
