Jeri Hansen-Gill Honored as Napa County Woman of the Year

NAPA, CA – Local resident Jeri Hansen-Gill has been honored as Napa County Woman of the Year for the Third Senate District. In recognition of Women’s History Month, Senator Bill Dodd honored one woman from each of the counties he represents who have made significant contributions in their respective communities.

“I am truly grateful to Senator Dodd for this distinct honor,” said Jeri Hansen-Gill, 2017 Napa County Woman of the Year. “I consider myself fortunate beyond measure to work beside friends and colleagues who are committed to making our community such a vibrant place. Being recognized for the role I gladly and willingly play in this effort is humbling.”

Jeri Hansen-Gill has served as the Chief Executive Officer for Sustainable Napa County (SNC) since the organization’s founding in 2008. SNC is a nonprofit group dedicated to engaging the community in issues related to energy. During her tenure, SNC has helped save over a million dollars for residents and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by more than 2,000 tons.

“For years, Jeri has dedicated herself to improving the environment and our community here in Napa County,” said Senator Bill Dodd. “Finding renewable energy sources must be a top concern for our country, and I want to commend Jeri for everything she has accomplished and the example she sets for what can be done at the local level.”

Apart from her role as CEO, Jeri has a prolific background of community activism. She currently serves as the Chair of both the Napa County Planning Commission and the North Bay Workforce Alliance. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Napa Valley Exposition Board of Directors and sits on the Napa Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
