Kaiser Permanente Announces More Than $800,000 in Grants In Napa, Solano Counties

Grants announced at "KP in the Community" event

Kaiser Permanente in Napa and Solano counties is awarding more than $800,000 to 37 non-profit organizations that serve the community.

Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit grants are awarded every year to local organizations working on specific programs and projects that align with Kaiser Permanente’s missions and goals.

This year, Kaiser Permanente has four objectives in its Community Benefit grants program: improve access to health care, health services and health education; support healthy eating and access to affordable healthy food; train and develop the youth workforce; and create safe environments for individuals and families to live, work, walk and play.

On Tuesday, July 14, Kaiser Permanente recognized this year’s grantees at the KP in the Community event. This was the eighth year for the gathering, which celebrates community partners and the Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit grantees that help make a difference in Solano and Napa Counties. Community Health Clinic Ole’ was also recognized with the Officer Jim Capoot Community Project of the Year Award which included an award of $5,000 in unrestricted funds. American Heart Association and 2B Successful were also nominated and received $2,500 in unrestricted funds.

As a nonprofit organization Kaiser Permanente invests in the health of our communities by providing programs and services for the uninsured or underinsured and by giving millions of dollars each year in financial, technical, and programmatic support to clinics, hospitals and health programs.
