Lehenbauer spurs Justin-Siena freshman to comeback win

Braves rally from 13 down to beat Davis in basketball tournament

SACRAMENTO -- Chris Lehenbauer scored 13 points and had seven rebounds to spark a fourth-quarter comeback and lift the Justin-Siena freshman boys basketball team to a 55-52 win over Davis in the Natomas Tournament on Thursday.

The Braves (1-1) trailed by 13 points midway through the third quarter and by five with just over two minutes left.

Lehenbauer grabbed a rebound and scored to tie the game at 52-52. Peter Hauscarriague's steal and layup gave the Braves the lead with one minute remaining.

Hauscarriauge and Grant Smith made free throws down the stretch to ice the victory.

Hauscarriauge finished with seven points. Smith scored eight and Sam Hoff five. Nathan Krill netted 10 points with 10 rebounds. Carter Latno had nine points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots.

Justin-Siena returns to consolation bracket action Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Grant High School.
