Local Wineries Launch Private Group Wine Excursion
"The Heart of the Valley" offers the ideal full-day Napa Valley experience with private tastings at two of Napa's boutique wineries.

Sullivan Rutherford Estate, located at 1090 Galleron Lane, and nearby VGS Chateau Potelle, located at 1200 Dowdell Lane, have partnered to offer private groups an exclusive outdoor tasting experience. “The Heart of the Valley” offers the ideal full-day Napa Valley experience with private tastings at two of Napa’s most revered boutique wineries, inclusive of a catered farm-to-table lunch by Oak Avenue Catering. The tasting experience is available now through August 31. Offered 7 days a week, the tasting is $200 per person with a limit of 6 people per group.

“We are thrilled to partner with Chateau Potelle for this experience. Guests can make one reservation through Tock, and then leave the rest to us,” says Sullivan estate director, Lisa Barker-Mullen.
Guests will start the day at Sullivan Rutherford Estate, Rutherford's Cabernet Sauvignon hideaway for over 45 years, where they will enjoy an elevated tasting of the winery’s most coveted wines--the James O’Neil Collection, named after the original founder, James O’Neil Sullivan. The exclusive seated tasting of the James O’Neil Merlot and James O’Neil Cabernet Sauvignon will take place in a secluded and tranquil garden courtyard.

Following the intimate outdoor tasting, guests will transition to the residence patio, where they will enjoy an al fresco farm-to-table lunch catered by Oak Avenue Catering, and take in the magical views overlooking the vineyards and grounds of the Sullivan estate.
After lunch, guests will travel just three miles to VGS Chateau Potelle, where they will be seated in a French-inspired patio-garden and experience a private tasting of 5 wines from both the VGS and Fourmeaux Collections. The seated tasting is hosted by an expert who will guide you through the wines as well as the 30+ years of history at the estate.
Due to the intimate nature of this experience, reservations are required to guarantee a tasting. Reservations can be made by contacting the tasting room at 707-963-9646 or making a reservation on Tock.
