Man Arrested in Reported Rape of Sleeping Victim

A 34-year-old Napa man was arrested Monday after a woman reported he had raped her in her sleep, according to a press release from the :
On March 19, 2012 at 12:53 AM, Napa Police Department Officers were dispatched to a reported sexual assault at 1600 Soscol Ave.
The Victim reported waking up with the Suspect lying on top of her engaged in sexual intercourse against her will.

The Victim’s and Witness’s statements led to Officers identifying the Suspect.
He was later located in the 1600 block of Carol Drive.
The Suspect was interviewed at the Napa Police Department and later arrested.
Henry Tito Oscanoa Palacios, 34, was booked at the on suspicion of sexual assault crimes including rape of a person who is unconscious or incapable of resisting and sexual penetration when the suspect knows the victim is incapacitated; he also faces a burglary charge, according to the police press release.
