Man Killed In Thursday Night Hit-and-Run On Sonoma Boulevard

Vallejo police are looking for the driver a light-colored Nissan Maxima. Anyone with information is asked to call the department. [Breaking]

VALLEJO, CA – Police in Vallejo this morning are investigating a hit-and-run collision that killed a pedestrian Thursday night.

Officers with the Vallejo Police Department responded at 11:07 p.m. to the 400 block of Sonoma Boulevard on a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Arriving officers learned a 47-year-old man from Richmond was crossing Sonoma Boulevard south of Cherry Street when a vehicle struck him.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle fled south on Sonoma Boulevard, police said.

Investigators are working with witnesses and evidence at the scene to identify the driver of the vehicle and are currently looking for a light-colored Nissan Maxima.

Police have not released the identity of the victim.
