Meadowood Resort Water Main Repair To Interrupt Service
Water main valves damaged or destroyed in the Glass Fire are being replaced.
ST. HELENA, CA — Some city of St. Helena residents and businesses will have no water service Tuesday as the city's Public Works Department helps with the replacement of water main valves damaged or destroyed in the Glass Fire.
The work is scheduled from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Feb. 16. in the Meadowood Resort area. It requires the shutdown of Pressure Zone 4 and will affect all of the Madrone Knoll neighborhood and Meadowood Resort.
A total of 44 customers will be affected as two 6-inch isolation valves are replaced, the city said.

"We are forecasting an approximate flushing of 20,000 gallons of water needed for disinfection," said Clayton Church, operations manager for the city.
"This work is in response to fire recovery from the Glass Fire," Church said. "The City of St Helena appreciates your patience as we work to improve the quality of drinking water provided to the residents and businesses of St. Helena."
