Napa Co. Fair Association Honored At 'Grammys' Of Fair Industry

Calistoga's hometown fair placed first in several WFA Achievement Awards Program divisions for 2018.

From Insite Marketers: Each year fairs from all over the west coast participate in what is considered the Grammy’s of the fair industry, as members of the Western Fairs Association compete in classes by attendance size for coveted awards that reward excellence in management, creativity, and innovation.

This year there were 29 different WFA Achievement Award divisions, two of which were featured programs designed for a special ceremony during the annual convention held January 3-6, in Anaheim, California. The Napa County Fair Association placed in 15 of the 29 divisions and received first place in the featured contest for their Digital Marketing Campaign, which outlined the redesign of their website.

In addition to the featured contest, the Napa County Fair Association was awarded honors for their logo and placed in the following divisions:

First Place Divisions:

· Interim Event Rentals Innovative Marketing Strategy – Recognized for creatively promoting the Napa County Fairgrounds for holiday parties

· Fairtime Innovative Marketing Strategy – Rewarding innovation in design of Napa County Fair branded fans passed out during Calistoga’s 4th of July Parade

· Give It Your Best Shot – Best photography in carnival, exhibits, and community

· New Exhibits Competition – Calistoga Christmas Fair addition of competitive exhibits through special contests and activities

· New Event, Exhibit or Program – Engage Art Fair Preview Party

· Volunteers – Program development

· Interim Events – Creative development of the Flynn Creek Circus 21 & over night

· Crisis Management – Comprehensive communications plan for community unrest

Second Place Divisions:

· Printed Marketing Campaign – July 4th print ads and newspaper insert for the month of June

· Social Media Campaign – July 4th awareness and engagement to increase ticket sales

· Event within an Event – Gala a’Fair Preview Party for the 4th of July Celebration

· Inspiring Collaboration – SARAFORNIA, Engage Art Fair collaboration with Visit Calistoga and Arts Council Napa Valley for Calistoga’s celebration of Napa Valley Arts in April

Third Place Division:

· Any Other Advertising Campaign – Engage Art Fair floor decals promotion
