Napa County Encourages Everyone To Get Tested For Coronavirus
"Testing is a key data point for the state of California to consider reopening and therefore general public participation is critical."
NAPA COUNTY, CA — The Napa County Office of Emergency Services encouraged the general public Monday to take part in coronavirus testing, saying tests are available for all adults who live or work in Napa County.
"Testing confirms whether an individual actively has COVID-19 and may be spreading the virus without symptoms," Napa County OES said in a Nixle advisory. "Testing is a key data point for the State of California to consider re-opening and therefore general public participation is critical."
To date, there have been 92 total cases of coronavirus in Napa County. Of those, 43 have recovered but there have been three coronavirus-related deaths.

How To Get Tested in Napa County:
Testing is by appointment only, so the first thing to do is set up an appointment. Napa County residents 18 or older who would like to be tested for the coronavirus, regardless of symptoms, need to complete an online assessment and register for a drive-thru appointment at Projectbaseline.com/study/covid-19/.
Details on how to access the testing site are provided once an appointment is made; no walk-ins are accepted.

As part of the screening, residents may be asked if they have insurance; however, insurance is not required to be tested, the county says.
Appointments are scheduled through the online portal no more than three days in advance. If appointments are full, the county recommends checking back the next morning.
