Napa County Extends Shelter-At-Home Order: What To Know

Playgrounds and other recreational facilities are closed; essential businesses must adopt social distancing protocols.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Like its Bay Area neighbors, Napa County has extended its shelter-at-home order through 11:59 p.m. April 30.

The extended Napa County coronavirus-related public health order:

—Closes playgrounds and other shared recreational facilities;

—Has new requirements for construction sites;

—Clarifies that landscaping, gardening and similar service professionals should be limited to maintaining habitability, sanitation or safety, and not cosmetic purposes; and

—Has social distancing protocols for businesses providing essential services to prepare and post by 11:59 p.m. Monday, April 6.

Coronavirus In Napa County

The county reported its second death Friday.

There are currently 17 county residents who've tested positive and are considered active cases; the county is monitoring another 73 people with known exposure to a confirmed case of COVID-19.

As of 10:30 a.m. Friday, there were 20 confirmed coronavirus cases among Napa County residents. That number includes the two deaths and one passenger from the Diamond Princess cruise ship who was not a Napa County resident but was the first person treated for coronavirus in Napa County.

A total of 422 county residents have been tested for the severe acute respiratory syndrome, 298 of whom tested negative and 104 of whom were still awaiting test results.
