Getting vaccinated is more important than ever

(NAPA, CALIF.) – As part of ongoing efforts to provide immunizations to the community more efficiently, Napa County Public Health is partnering with Adventist Health/St. Helena Hospital Foundation Mobile services to provide flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics starting October 3 through November 15, 2021. Booster shots will also be made available to eligible groups.  

In an effort to prevent a "twindemic" of COVID-19 and seasonal influenza, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is urging Californians to get vaccinated against the flu and COVID-19 now to protect yourself and your loved ones. 

Influenza and COVID-19 can cause similar symptoms, which include fever, cough, body aches, chills, and other symptoms. “In addition to protecting yourself from getting sick, both vaccines can prevent you from spreading these infections to your loved ones and other people who are more likely to suffer from severe illness,” said Dr. Karen Relucio, Napa County Public Health Officer.

Flu and COVID-19 vaccines will be offered at eight convenient locations throughout the county, including Calistoga, St. Helena, Yountville, Napa and American Canyon. (NAPA, CALIF.) - Como parte de los esfuerzos continuos para ofrecer vacunas a la comunidad de manera más eficiente, Salud Pública del Condado de Napa estará colaborando con Adventist Health / St. Servicios móviles de Helena Hospital Foundation para ofrecer clínicas de vacunación contra la influenza y COVID-19 desde el 3 de octubre hasta el 15 de noviembre de 2021. Vacunas de refuerzo serán disponible para los grupos elegibles.
