Napa County 'Most Wanted' Criminal Arrested In Sonoma County
BREAKING: Michael Patrick Dunne, Jr., initially gave a fake name when stopped early Thursday in Geyserville, a sheriff's official said.

NORTH BAY, CA — One of Napa County's "Most Wanted" criminals was arrested early Thursday in Sonoma County. Michael Patrick Dunne Jr., 32, of Napa — wanted by Napa County authorities for multiple drug-related charges — was taken into custody by a Sonoma County sheriff's deputy following a traffic stop at 12:15 a.m. in the 5000 block of Highway 128 in Geyserville, sheriff's Spokeswoman Misti Harris said in a news release.
"[The] sheriff’s deputy saw a green Jeep drive past him ... The deputy could not see the rear license plate because that part of the car was dark, which is a violation of the vehicle code," Harris said. "The deputy pulled over the car and spoke with the driver and passenger."
The driver, later identified as Dunne, allegedly did not have a driver's license with him and initially gave a fake name to the deputy — a fake name that turned out to be associated with an expired driver’s license, Harris said.

As the deputy was in the process of issuing Dunne a citation for driving without a license, he noticed something hidden under Dunne’s sweatshirt. He searched Dunne's person and found a methamphetamine pipe, Harris said.
Then, in a search of the Jeep, the deputy reportedly found Dunne's driver's license, another pipe and meth.

With Dunne's correct ID in hand, the deputy learned Dunne had a misdemeanor warrant and a felony no-bail warrant out of Napa County.
The deputy drove Dunne to Sonoma County jail. While being searching during the booking process, deputies allegedly found more meth, heroin, marijuana, two hydrocodone pills and matches on Dunne.
Dunne was jailed on suspicion of charges including: felony possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor possession of narcotics, providing false identification to a peace officer, bringing a controlled substance into jail and the outstanding warrants.
"Dunne is being held without bail due to the felony no-bail warrant," Harris said.
The passenger with Dunne at the time of the traffic stop was not arrested.
According to Napa County sheriff's "Most Wanted" list, Dunne was sought for failure to appear on two felony counts of possession for sale of a controlled substance and two felony special allegations for prior controlled substance convictions.
Dunne is scheduled to appear in Sonoma County court at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
