Napa County Seeks Arts and Culture Advisory Committee Grant Proposals
Nonprofit organizations can submit proposals beginning Jan. 5.

NAPA VALLEY, CA -- Nonprofit organizations interested in applying for grant funds from the Napa County Arts and Culture Advisory Committee can begin submitting their proposals Jan. 5.
Completed applications must be received no later than 5 p.m., Friday, March 2. Only registered 501(c)3 organizations working in Napa County’s arts and culture sector are eligible to apply. For information about how to apply for funding and the grant guidelines, visitwww.countyofnapa.org/ceo/arts/
About $95,000 in Capacity Building and $115,000 in Visitor Management programs is available for this round of grant funding. Funding for the grants comes from the Special Projects Fund established by the Board of Supervisors, which is funded by a percentage of the Napa County Transient Occupancy Tax.

Applications for the Capacity Building program may be submitted for amounts ranging from $1,000 to $30,000, depending upon the total annual budget of an organization. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online.
The Arts and Culture Advisory Committee says it will review applications and discuss recommendations for grant award at a regular meeting on April 24, 2017. The final recommendations are to be submitted to county staff for presentation to the Board of Supervisors, which will decide what organizations receive funding and in what amounts.

The Arts Council says it will hold two informational sessions at a date that is to be announced on the Arts and Culture web page (www.countyofnapa.org/ceo/arts/).
