Napa County Welcomes New Assistant CEO
Assistant CEO Becky Craig most recently served as president and CEO of the Vacaville Chamber of Commerce.

NAPA, CA — The County of Napa asked the public Monday to help welcome its new assistant county executive officer, Becky Craig, to the community.
In her role as assistant CEO, Craig is tasked with the development and administration of the county’s $500-million annual budget and also functions as the chief of staff for the county CEO.
“She will support 18 departments in presenting a balanced budget that is focused on our mission to advance the health, safety, and economic well-being of our community,” Napa County CEO Minh Tran said.

Craig’s experience includes more than eight years with the city of Elk Grove, first as finance director and then as assistant city manager. Before that, she worked as finance director for the County of St. Charles, Missouri.
Most recently, she was president and CEO of the Vacaville Chamber of Commerce for six years. During that time, she oversaw advocacy, communications, connections and promotions for the business community to improve the local economy.

Craig began her new position Monday, filling a vacancy created in December by the retirement of Napa County Assistant CEO Mary Booher. The salary range for the assistant county executive officer position at Napa County starts at $196,689 and goes up to $239,090.
“I look forward to using my extensive financial and management experience honed in the public and private sectors to serve the residents of Napa County,” Craig said.
