The NVFF Host Family Program connects the incredible Napa Valley community with filmmakers from all over the world. Hosts help NVFF filmmakers create long lasting memories in a wine country famously known for it’s extraordinary hospitality.

“The entire festival experience is enhanced when you host one of the talented filmmakers in your home or guest house,” commented Brenda Lhormer, NVFF Co-Founder/Director. “A host has the opportunity to learn more about filmmaking, the industry, and the behind-the-scenes stories about the making of the artist’s film. It’s so rewarding, and we’ve seen new life long friendships result from our matchmaking!”

Host families can donate a room in a house, a guest cottage, or home during the week of Festival, November 11-15.

Some filmmakers arrive on Tuesday, November 10; others need lodging for only a few days.

In exchange for any donation, hosts receive complimentary Festival Passes. The number of passes allocated are negotiated based on the value of the donation.

Opportunities to host NVFF seasonal staff are also available from October 15- November 20.

“We couldn’t offer the warm hospitality we are committed to without host families,” said Whitney Haskin, NVFF Program Coordinator. “The filmmakers love their experience in Napa Valley and continue to comment about how appreciative our audiences are. We so are so grateful to the families that open up their doors to these amazing filmmakers we celebrate year after year.”

Interested hosts can contact NVFF at 707.226.7500 or email services@nvff.org.
