Napa Fire Department Awarded $7,500 Grant For Wildfire Gear

The grant from The Dickey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dickey's Barbecue Pit, provided 13 sets of essential wildland firefighting gear.

NAPA, CA — A nonprofit will present 13 sets of essential wildland firefighting gear to the Napa Fire Department in a ceremony Monday at Napa Fire Station 2.

The donation is valued at more than $7,500 and is from the Dickey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, which has a Napa location on Imola Avenue West.

"The Dickey Foundation is all about giving back to first responders and firefighters who put their lives on the line every day while serving our communities," said Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc.

The Dickey Foundation awards grants to provide first responders with critical protective equipment and safety gear they need to help make their job easier and safer.

"We’re excited that Dickey’s Owner/Operators Rene and Gwen Bassett helped orchestrate this grant, all to ensure these brave firefighters have the proper equipment to safely and effectively help the community where they live and work."
