Amador Solano was found guilty of pulling back a shower curtain and sexually assaulting a woman.
NAPA, CA — A Napa man was convicted of residential burglary and sexually assaulting a woman as she showered in her home, prosecutors said Friday.
Amador Solano, 34, was convicted of sexual penetration by a foreign object, assault while committing a burglary, first-degree burglary with a person present, false imprisonment by violence, and making criminal threats, the Napa County District Attorney's Office said.
The Napa woman was showering after returning home from work on the evening of June 20, 2024, when Solano entered the bathroom, pulled back the shower curtain and attacked her, prosecutors said.

"In the face of unimaginable fear and danger, she demonstrated extraordinary courage and strength by fighting off her attacker, despite him telling her, 'This will be easier if you do what I say,'" Deputy District Attorney Shashawnya Worley said.
The man fled but not before making off with the woman's purse/wallet.

Napa police, responding to the woman's call to 911, located Solano on the Napa River Trail shortly after the assault.
"That same courage was evident when she took the witness stand and testified against the man who assaulted her," Worley said. "Her fortitude and bravery throughout these proceedings have been remarkable."
Separately, Solano faces felony charges in connection with the sexual assault of a minor, prosecutors said.
