Napa Pipe Hearings Canceled as Developers Revise Proposal

Two public hearings before the county board of supervisors that could have decided the future of the proposed Napa Pipe mixed-used development have been canceled at the developers' request, according to the Napa Valley Register.

It appears there will be an even longer wait for the long-awaited Napa County supervisorial hearings on the proposed mixed-use development at the 152-acre Napa Pipe industrial site just outside Napa city limits.

A story breaking Monday evening on the website cites an email from county planning director Hillary Gitelman saying that Napa Redevelopment Partners, the group seeking for years to develop Napa Pipe into a residential community with local-serving businesses, has asked that the hearings be canceled.

The developers want to "revise their application and shrink the project’s proposed size," according to the Register report.
