Napa Probationer Accused Of Making Criminal Threats While Armed
Napa police say the 26-year-old was taken into custody after initially refusing to exit his pickup truck.
NAPA, CA -- Napa police arrested a man Thursday who allegedly made threats to people while he was armed with guns. At 7:20 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance at a house on Meadowlark Court. Officers had been told that 26-year-old Michael Deck had left the home after arming himself with guns and making threats to harm the residents, police said.
Deck also had warrants out for his arrest, according to police.
Responding officers saw Deck driving on Trancas Street where he pulled into a Chevron gas station. Officers contacted Deck there, but he refused to come out of his truck, police said.

Due to the possibility that Deck was armed, police shut down traffic into the gas station and contained the truck to the parking lot.
After 20 minutes of negotiating, Deck exited the truck and was safely taken into custody, police said. Deck did have guns inside the truck, but they were all legally secured and stored, police said.

Deck was arrested and booked into jail for his warrants and on suspicion of making criminal threats, resisting arrest and violating his probation terms for a prior criminal offense.
His guns were taken for safekeeping, police said.
