Napa Quake One Year Later
Aug 24 marks the one-year anniversary of the South Napa Quake, and in the midst of this tragedy, Napa will survive, and Napa will celebrate

August 24 will remain a significant day in the history of Napa and in the memory of Napa residents. That date in 2014 was a tragedy. That date in 2015 is a celebration. The magnitude 6.0 earthquake that shook and rattled the Napa Valley on Aug 24, 2014 is a distant memory, but local residents are still living the experience, with many repairs still to be made.
Napa is strong. Napa will survive. The one-year anniversary of the South Napa Quake is a day for celebration. On Monday, Aug 24, 2015 at 3:20pm, Napa residents will come together as a community, as it did one year ago. The City of Napa, Napa County, and the Napa Valley Unified School District are jointly coordinating the milestone event at Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Napa. There will be speakers and information available about recovery, future preparation, and services.
Residents are encouraged to stop by the park on Monday afternoon, in recognition of the one-year anniversary, and to share in the progress made this past year.
