Napa Sports Scene: Club Soccer Tryouts Saturday; American Canyon High Fund-raiser Set
Napa Youth Soccer League opens a series of age-division soccer team tryouts at Redwood Middle School.

Napa Youth Soccer League tryouts for the Napa Valley Soccer Club will begin on Saturday, Feb. 26.
All tryouts will be held at the all-purpose field at Redwood Middle School.
The boys Under-10 age group tryout will be held Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The girls Under-10 tryout is set Sunday, Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Tryouts for the Under-17 boys and Under-19 boys squads will be held on Feb. 26 and again on March 6. Both tryouts will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Under-17 girls team tryouts will be conducted Feb. 27 and March 5. Each will go from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Players must take part in the proper California Youth Soccer Association age group tryout.
Registration fee will be $70. Forms are available at napavalleysoccerclub.org or nysl.org. Each player new to the program must provide a copy of their birth certificate.
American Canyon High School is holding a charity take-out dinner to benefit the athletic program.
A tri-tip dinner for four people will include baked beans, salad, potatoes and desert. Cost will be $40. The dinners will be on sale in the school parking lot Wednesday, Feb. 23 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
