By drinks break the teams were as good as level with Marin having less wickets to play with. The following over possible changed the game with English born off spinner, Matt Wood, taking 2 wickets with his pinpoint bowling and Napa finally taking some catches thanks to the solid hands of Clive Richardson.

A great over from Mark Buckley finished off the Marin tail and the Napa Valley Cricket Club celebrated into the warm Marin evening!

Club Captain Tim Irwin, an Australian who works for Penfolds Wines, says “it was a great team performance especially as we were playing away from home to secure our first win of the 2012 season. The batting partnership from John and Bijoy set the tone for the team for the rest of the day and everyone played their part. We batted all the way down the order with a nice flurry from the tail. Our bowling was consistent and we got the wickets at the right time, just as the respective Marin batsmen were looking well set. The bowling attack had a great day with Mark finishing off any last Marin resistance with 2 great wickets to bring us home to a well deserved victory”
