Join the Napa Valley Film Festival (NVFF) for an exclusive, FREE screening of the 2015 Jury Award winning film Romeo Is Bleeding for Napa County High School students and their parents on Wednesday, March 16th at 5pm at the NVUSD Auditorium.*
Synopsis: Donté Clark, Richmond’s own Poet Laureate, is a local hero who uses his voice to inspire those around him within his community. He and the like-minded youth of the city mount an urban adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, with
the hope of starting a real dialogue about violence in the city. The film is powerful, eye opening, and inspiring and will spark a critical dialogue between the youth and adults who will experience this special evening.
Along with film producer Michael Klein, Donté himself will be in attendance to perform an original piece, and answer questions about the film immediately following the screening.
*Seating is limited. Parents and students can RSVP by March 11 to guarantee seats. Students must present valid ID upon entry. The NVUSD Auditorium at Napa High School is located at 2425 Jefferson Street, Napa.
