New Technology High School Unveils 'Center for Excellence'

The new space at the Napa school was designed by Steelcase Education.

The grand unveiling of the new Center for Excellence (CFE) at New Technology High School is planned for Thursday, Aug. 21.

New Technology High School is committed to leading educational reform. The CFE was designed to engage and inform with students and adults with trainings that are supported by the NVUSD Learning Center. This is a new district program that will provide professional development focused technology- infused project-based learning and build capacity for teachers in the Napa Valley District.

This unique space was re-designed in a partnership with Steelcase Education, a specialty designer of effective, rewarding and inspiring learning spaces.

Last year, New Tech High School had more than 1,200 visitors. Many come to learn about the unique model, while others stay to learn best practices with project-based learning in a technology-rich classroom.
