American Canyon Walmart Celebrates Completion Of Remodeling Project

AMERICAN CANYON, CA — American Canyon residents got their first look Friday morning at the newly remodeled Walmart Supercenter at 7011 Main Street.

The much-anticipated project is complete and includes several department expansions and renovations to help customers save time, the company said in a news release. The upgrades also complement measures Walmart has taken in its U.S. stores to help protect associates and customers from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are really excited to reveal the new store to our customers," said Store Manager Oana Daley. "This store hasn’t had any upgrades in about 15 years, so customers will notice some big changes when we welcome them into the store."

The remodeling project included:

• New Vision center 2.0
• Grocery department expansion
• Brand new floors, countertops and fixtures throughout the store
• New front-end-of-store transformation including 28 self-checkout stands
• Newly remodeled front and back restrooms
• Brand new layout and redesign of Apparel and Entertainment department
• Upgraded Walmart signage and newly painted building
• Additional 14 parking spots for Grocery Pickup

Walmart will continue to innovate to help customers save time and money by giving them the option to shop when, where, and how they want, the company said.

The American Canyon Supercenter is open 6 a.m.-11 p.m. daily and currently offers the following innovations:

— Pickup - Customers can shop online, then pick up groceries without leaving their cars. There is no fee to use Walmart Grocery Pickup;

—Delivery - Walmart has now made both pickup and delivery contact-free;

—Express delivery– Customers now have the option to have their deliveries made in under two hours; and

—Walmart Pay – a touch-free way to pay using the Walmart app.
