NVC Presents: Timbres & Textures
Experience the North Bay Wind Ensemble as they perform 'Timbres & Textures,' April 24, 2016 at 3PM. Directed by Harry Cadelago.

The North Bay Wind Ensemble (NBWE) carries a full-symphonic quality through timbres of differing instrumental sections in TIMBRES & TEXTURES, featuring popular selections for band. Directed by Harry Cadelago, this April 24th performance will feature “commanding sound and musicality,” and stunning solos, including Bernhard Henrik Crusell's Introduction and Variations on a Swedish Song, performed by clarinetist Roberta “Bobbie” J. Textor.
Soloist Roberta “Bobbie” J. Textor is a former touring member of the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight, the 530th Air National Guard Band of the South, Air National Guard Band of the West Coast, and U.S. Air Forces in Europe Band (USAFE). Born and raised in McLean, VA, Textor attended Shenandoah Conservatory, earning her Bachelor of Music Education with a double concentration in Clarinet and Piano, as well as a performance minor in both instruments. After graduation, Bobbie joined the Air Force, touring as a member of several air force bands. Currently, Bobbie is the sole proprietor of Passion-4-Music, her home business of performing, accompanying, and teaching music.
Ensemble performances will include a fresh variety of works from Giuseppe Verdi, Leonard Bernstein, William Walton, Henry Fillmore and John Williams.
