NVOS Artist Regina Moraida paints with oils, she also enjoys working with charcoal and pastels. A realistic painter of predominantly portraits, Regina captures her subjects in landscape settings. She also places people and animals in natural indoor settings for some of her compositions.
One unique aspect of Regina’s art is the fact that she builds her own canvases. “I like creating a piece of work from beginning to end, using and combining old techniques with the new,” she says.
Nature, family, friends and travels are all inspirations for Regina. She loves creating what she sees - both in color and black and white. Her art reflects how she feels about what she sees.
Most of Regina’s art has been commissioned work; portraits of people and dogs, as well as cats and horses. Her plan is to do more shows in the future, and is happy that Open Studios has prompted her to build a body of work other than her commissioned pieces.
Regina’s studio is in her home, and her art is displayed on her walls. Her studio will also reflect the Napa Valley in refreshment, as she will serve Mumm sparkling wine, fruit, nuts and cheeses. Art and wine - seriously good!
You can find Regina Moraida and her artwork at Studio #33, 1546 Parkwood Court, in Napa, California. You can also find her work online at www.ReginaMoraida.com.
