NVOS ceramic and functional stoneware artists, Jeff and Sally Manfredi

By NVOS artist Davina Rubin

NVOS Artists Jeff and Sally Manfredi
, of Calistoga Pottery, work with six or seven basic glazes. Where possible, they use local materials. Their work is used in over fifty local wineries, restaurants, and B & B’s. Their goal is to make balanced, beautiful items for everyday use.

Both Sally and Jeff are inspired by the long 2,000–year history of clay being turned into pots.A visit to their studio gives people a good introduction to the entire process of pottery making.

You'll find Jeff and Sally at Studio #49 – Calistoga Pottery – at 1001 Foothill Blvd., in Calistoga, California. You can also find them on the web at www.calistogapottery.com.

Artist, writer and actress Davina Rubin uses acrylics and mixed media to create abstract works on both canvas and paper.  She paints in her small loft in Napa, and writes a philosophic blog atwww.davinarubin.com. You can also see some of her artwork at www.davinarubinart.weebly.com, and you can visit her at Studio # 42 during Napa Valley Open Studios.
