By NVOS artist Robert Zlomke
NVOS artist Gregory Delucca is an oil painter who has centered his work on rendering realistic landscapes and religious images from his travels around the world. He seeks an attitude of humility in his work, inspired by the beauty God has bestowed on the landscapes which are Greg’s subjects. He is especially drawn to Napa and New Mexico landscapes, which he renders with a level of realistic detail that he hopes will lead the observer to the sense of peace that he himself experienced.
Greg was juried into the Rotary Club’s 2011 Napa Valley Art and Music Festival. Visitors to his studio will be able to see a demonstration of the use of water soluble oils in landscapes and religious images.
You can visit him at Studio #39, 1401 Wallis Court, in St. Helena, California, during Open Studios, and, until then, you can see his paintings on his website at www.gregdelucca.com.
