NVOS oil painter, Kim Wild

By NVOS artist Cathryne Trachok

Napa Valley Open Studios artist Kim Wild
has been living in Napa for the past ten years, and in that short time has truly made her own mark.  With collectors from all over the world, and a true base of followers in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, she has been an active participant in the art scene of Napa.

Well known for her wild interpretations of flowers, all Kim’s works are exciting. “My paintings come from deep inside my inner heart and soul. They are expressions of the place I have learned to go within myself.  To me painting is love, trust, and a blessed emotion of a free expression within the heart and soul of myself- An Artist on Canvas,” Kim says. The words, expressive and free, truly represent her paintings.

Be prepared for a sensory experience! Kim’s large paintings really do captivate; I know – I have spent what seemed like hours lost in her paintings. It is a special treat to also be able to talk to Kim about her process and inspiration.

A visit to Kim Wild’s studio is an entrance to a world that is colorful, bold, and beautiful. Featuring five artists, Studio G at 421 Walnut Street #212, in Napa, California, is a must stop for anyone touring the Open Studios.  On the Open Studios map, you'll find Kim at Studio #2.
