NVOS painter in oils and watercolors, Mary Lee Shepard

Having grown up in New Mexico, surrounded by the intense colors of the Southwest and inspired by the powerful artwork in Santa Fe and Taos,Napa Valley  Open Studios artist Mary Lee Shepard celebrates that heritage in her work.  

Putting layers of paint on canvas, and working through a series of stages, Mary produces bright, impactful, and beautiful pieces of art.  Abstract in nature, and skillfully executed, her work is a celebration of paint, color, and form.  

Her palette is not limited to just oils; she also works in acrylics and watercolors, her colors, shapes, and edges always exciting. An award winning artist from San Diego, California, now resident of the Napa Valley, Mary Lee has also been featured in a number of galleries and exhibitions. 

Collected by strangers, friends and families, her artworks range in size from very large all the way down to very small, and everything in between, all at reasonable prices.
