Officer-Involved Shooting Reported Friday Evening In Napa
The incident began when police served a warrant to a home in the Alta Heights area, the department said. Few details released so far.

Napa police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred this evening in the Alta Heights area while officers were serving a search warrant.
The shooting occurred shortly before 5 p.m. when officers serving a warrant for drugs and firearms contacted the subject of the warrant, a 41-year-old man whose name has not yet been released, according to police.
A handgun was found at the scene of the shooting.

The Napa County Sheriff’s Department will lead the investigation into the shooting, as per county protocol, police said. The name of the officer involved will be released within 48 hours.
