NAPA, CA—Napa County Supervisor Bill Dodd today formally kicked off his campaign for State Assembly at a Sunday outdoor event attended by over 300 supporters. Dodd emphasized his passion for public service, dedication to restoring California’s economic climate, and reputation for tackling – and solving – big issues.
“As a 7th generation Californian, whose family first came here in the early 1800’s, this state, this region and this county are in my blood,” Dodd said. “I’m running to bring Californians a more effective state government that delivers what it promises, on time and on budget.

“A brighter future for all Californians means quality K-12 and college educations, economic opportunity, planning for an aging Baby Boomer generation, and better infrastructure,” Dodd continued.

Since throwing his hat into the ring for the 4th Assembly District at the end of June, Dodd has worked to compile an impressive list of endorsements from local leaders, including county supervisors, mayors, city council members, school board members, and law enforcement.
“Bill is the kind of breath-of-fresh-air, no-nonsense person who who won’t be more of the same,” said Sonoma County Supervisor David Rabbitt. “His longtime small business experience gives him a perspective on public service that I admire. He’s about results, and what they mean for the customer, which in this case is John and Jane Q Californian.”
“I’ve worked with Bill for a long time on really tough issues facing Napa and the region,” said Napa Mayor Jill Techel. “Bill is not afraid to ask the tough questions and he works hard to have government be responsive. He listens to people and takes the time to understand the issues.”
“State government needs more people like Bill Dodd, “ Techel continued.
Dodd is a Democrat from Napa County. After a successful 25-year business career, he has served four terms on the Napa County Board of Supervisors. The 4th Assembly District includes all of Napa and Lake Counties, and portions of Colusa, Solano, Sonoma and Yolo Counties.
