Parking Enforcement Resumes In Downtown Napa

NAPA, CA — Amid coronavirus and the changes it brought to Downtown Napa businesses over the past several months, the city stopped enforcing its parking program because not many people were using time-limited parking spaces. But with activity picking back up, parking enforcement resumed Monday, the city announced.

The city is allowing a grace period through Friday, Sept. 18, during which time warning citations will be issued for short-term parking violations.

"We would like to thank all Downtown patrons, business owners, and employees for their continued voluntary compliance with the Downtown parking rules during the re-opening of our Downtown," city officials said in a news release.

Once the grace period is over, normal parking enforcement operations will resume.

Time-limited parking spaces are marked with a green curb and are conveniently located around the Downtown area for easy pickup of take-out orders or curbside pickup. With more restaurants offering take-out and outdoor dining, the city said Food Priority Pickup locations will remain in place as parking enforcement returns.
