HWY 29: Pedestrian Reported Hit By Car, Signal Malfunctioning
Motorists should avoid HWY 29 near the scene of a crash and reported pedestrian accident. Signals are also malfunctioning.
NAPA VALLEY, CA — Southbound HWY-29 is closed at Hoffman Lane due to a fatal crash.
Traffic is being diverted to Solano Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened near the site where a pedestrian was reportedly struck by a vehicle.

That accident was reported on HWY-29 in Yountville at 12:24 p.m.
It is unclear whether the two accidents are related.

Earlier crews closed westbound direction of Madison Avenue at Washington Street due to a railroad crossing failure. The malfunction forced the traffic signal at HWY-29 to remain green for highway traffic only.
Yountville Public Works, Caltrans, and the Napa Valley Wine Train were trying to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, city officials said on Facebook at about 9 a.m.
The public should use alternate routes and expect delays in the area.
