Pedestrian Struck In Napa Hit-And-Run Dies; Alleged Driver Held On $1M Bail
Breaking: The 57-year-old died at a hospital early Monday, hours after the alleged driver in the incident was arrested in Santa Rosa.
NAPA, Ca -- A Napa man who was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run Thursday night died at a hospital early Monday morning and the alleged driver was arrested Sunday evening, a Napa police lieutenant said.
Andrew Lynch, 57, was struck around 9:20 p.m. on Redwood Road west of Solano Avenue. The female driver of the 2005 Cadillac Escalade briefly got out of the SUV, then got back in and drove away, Napa police Lt. Brian Campagna said.
Lynch suffered major injuries including spinal, neck and pelvis fractures, and he died at about 2:10 a.m. today, Campagna said.

The driver of the Escalade, Laura Ha, 47, of Napa, was eventually arrested in Santa Rosa on Sunday evening.
Witnesses, video surveillance from businesses and tips from the community led police to identify Ha, also known as Hang Ha, as the hit-and-run driver, Campagna said.

Police searched Ha's residence in the 2200 block of Tejas Avenue in Napa around 5:15 p.m. Saturday and another residence associated with her in the 600 block of Seymour Street in Napa on Saturday evening.
The Seymour residence was unoccupied but the Escalade with front-end damage and other evidence of a collision was found on the property behind a locked gate, Campagna said.
Police contacted Ha's husband Peter Hoang at the Tejas Avenue residence and arrested him on suspicion of being an accessory to a crime. He was booked into Napa County Jail.
On Sunday, Napa police investigators learned Ha may have been in the 400 block of Russell Avenue in Santa Rosa and they contacted Santa Rosa police, Campagna said.
Santa Rosa police located a vehicle believed to be associated with Ha around 5:50 p.m. She was located in the vehicle during a stop and Napa police investigators took her into custody. She was booked into Napa County
Jail under $1 million bail for felony hit-and-run.
