Vineyard Worker Killed In Grape-Picking Machine
The Monday afternoon fatality was logged from Deconinck Vineyards near Napa, officials said.

NAPA COUNTY, CA – The Napa County Sheriff's Office has identified a vineyard worker who died when he was caught in a grape-harvesting machine today as Leon Marcelo Lua, 49, of Napa.
Lua was operating an industrial grape-harvesting machine at Deconinck Vineyards at 1006 Monticello Road near Napa when he was killed, according to Luke Brown, a spokesman for the California Department of
Industrial Relations Division of Occupational Safety and Health also known as Cal-OSHA.
Brown said the St. Helena Fire Department informed Cal-OSHA about the incident around 12:30 p.m.
Henry Wofford, spokesman for the Napa County Sheriff's Office, said first responders were at the scene within five minutes, and Lua was pronounced dead at 12:45 p.m.

Cal Fire has responded this afternoon to a rescue call for a person who became stuck in a grape-picking machine in Napa County, a spokesman said.
The incident happened at a winery off Monticello Road, Cal Fire spokesman Bruce Lang said.
