Pimp Arrested, Prostitutes Detained In Napa County Sting

The two-day undercover operation was conducted by Napa Special Investigations Bureau last week in American Canyon.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — A man was arrested on suspicion of pimping and pandering and five women suspected of working as prostitutes were detained when detectives with the Napa Special Investigations Bureau conducted undercover prostitution stings last week in American Canyon, a lieutenant said.

Over the course of the two-day sting Wednesday and Thursday, June 6-7, detectives located, identified and arrested parolee Nickolas Rose, 33, of Fairfield, NSIB Lt. Gary Pitkin said in a news release. Rose booked into Napa County jail on suspicion of pimping and pandering, and violating the terms and conditions of his parole.

"Both pimping and pandering are felonies punishable in state prison," Pitkin said.

The five suspected prostitutes were offered resources in an effort to help them escape the commercial sex trafficking underworld, according to the lieutenant.

"Those cases will be further investigated and evaluated with the District Attorney’s Office to determine whether criminal charges are appropriate," Pitkin said.
