Quail Fire Rages Amid Windy Weather, Smoke Seen From Napa

The fire was burning near Vacaville, but smoke could be seen from eastern Napa County.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A fire that ignited Saturday afternoon was still burning Sunday morning in Northern California.

The fire erupted in hot and windy weather near Vacaville, but smoke could be seen from eastern Napa County, according to Cal Fire.

As of Sunday morning, the fire had burned 135 acres and was 45 percent contained. The blaze was burning in the area of Quail Canyon Road and Pleasants Valley Road, southwest of Winters, Cal Fire reported.

Evacuations were ordered for the area, according to the Solano County Office of Emergency Services.
