Reconstruction Work Begins On Earthquake-Damaged Napa Co. Roads

A project to reconstruct three Napa County roadways damaged in the 2014 Napa earthquake begins this week.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Reconstruction work on earthquake-damaged sections of three Napa County roadways begins Tuesday, June 18, according to an advisory Monday from the Napa County Public Works Department. The road work will take place on Oak Knoll Avenue between the Napa River and state Highway 29, on Old Sonoma Road between Congress Valley Road and Napa city limits, and on Cuttings Wharf Road between state Highway 12 and Withers Road.

"During construction, the public may experience flaggers closing half of the road down to one lane for both directions of traffic and may experience traffic delays," public works officials said. "Construction hours are primarily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m."

The project is expected to be complete by early July and is being paid for with funds from the Federal Highway Administration and local funds.
