Red Flag Warning For Napa, Sonoma Counties Set To Go Into Effect
Winds of 15 to 30 mph are forecast, with gusts up to 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

NORTH BAY, CA — The National Weather Service San Francisco Bay Area has issued another red flag warning for the mountains of North Bay. From 11 p.m. Friday until 11 p.m. Saturday when the red flag warning is in effect, critical fire weather conditions will exist in "Fire Weather Zone 507" — especially in the higher elevations of Napa County and far eastern Sonoma County.
NWS forecasters said northeast winds will strengthen Friday night — 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph — into early Saturday morning, with poor relative humidity recoveries followed by even warmer and drier conditions during the day Saturday.
"The areas of greatest concern will be located in higher terrain of Napa County as well as far eastern Sonoma County," weather officials said Thursday. "Any fire starts may spread rapidly in these conditions."
