“Nearly 2,000 firefighters are tirelessly working to contain the fire,” a Cal Fire spokesperson tweeted tonight.

The Moose Lodge 2284/Women of the Moose 1691 at 15900 E Highway 20 in Clearlake Oaks tonight is setting up as a temporary shelter for Rocky Fire evacuees and animals, according to a staff member working at the site.

For anyone who happens to be in the area, such donations as snacks, bread, lunch meat and water are welcome, the staff member said.

“Anything to get them through the night,” he said. “They’ll probably be here for quite a while.”
