Safeway Open PGA: Big Weekend Ahead In Napa

Tickets still are on sale, with a stellar concert line-up and top-notch golf pros on the agenda. Proceeds support fire-relief efforts.

NAPA, CA – The 2018 Safeway Open PGA golf tournament is underway at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, running through Sunday, Oct. 7, with ample action on the two 18-hole courses and star-studded concerts planned.

In front of the iconic Silverado mansion, former Van Halen lead singer Sammy Hagar and his new band The Circle perform on Thursday, with Indie band Young The Giant taking the stage Friday. Both shows are scheduled for 7 p.m.

On Saturday at 6:15 p.m., the headliner will be rock legend Billy Idol, who also performed at this year's BottleRock Napa Valley.

In addition to links action, with such elite players as Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm, Matt Kuchar, Justin Thomas, Webb Simpson and Paul Casey, the Safeway Food & Wine Pavilion, a 25,000-square-foot, air-conditioned tent is back and open to all, offering food and drinks from the Safeway Signature Cafe and world-renowned chefs.

Proceeds from ticket sales -- and they are still on sale -- will go to support fire relief efforts in Nap Valley. For more information and tickets, click here. Special ticket offers are available for military and first responders, and youth 15 and under are free with a paid adult.
