Save The Date: 'Morning in the Winery' In Napa County

It's a casual, open-house-style event -- complimentary for Napa County residents.

Announcement from the Napa Valley Vintners:

The Napa Valley Vintners, a nonprofit trade association, invites Napa County residents to the Morning in the Winery event on Saturday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Cellar doors will be opened at five local wineries for members of the community to learn about winemaking, green practices and what is happening at this stage of the 2014 harvest as it matures in the cellar.

Scheduled to take advantage of a quieter time of year when community residents can spend relaxed time with some of the area’s most talented winemakers, Morning in the Winery is a casual, open-house-style event that is complimentary for Napa County residents, with no RSVP required.

The NVV suggests that residents visit the winery below that is nearest to them:

• Spelletich Family Wine Company
2545 Napa Valley Corporate Drive, Suite C, Napa

• Monticello Vineyards
4242 Big Ranch Road, Napa

• Markham Vineyards
2812 St. Helena Hwy, St. Helena

• Dutch Henry Winery
4300 Silverado Trail North, Calistoga

Guests will have a chance to learn not only about what is going on in the cellar this time of year, but also about Napa Valley’s environmental leadership role in sustaining open spaces and a healthy ecosystem, with protections and programs such as the Ag Preserve and the Napa Green Certified Land and Napa Green Certified Winery programs.
