Scammers Calling Napa Co. Residents, Threatening Arrest: Sheriff

"The scammers threaten to arrest you if you refuse to pay them money," according to the Napa County Sheriff's Office.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Several Napa County residents have recently received phone calls from suspected scammers who claim they work for the Napa County Sheriff's Office, sheriff's officials warned Tuesday.

"The scammers threaten to arrest you if you refuse to pay them money," sheriff's officials said.

Most recently, the scammers have called from the phone number 707-418-5027 and asked potential victims to call 707-203-8992 to make a payment, according to the sheriff's office.

Sheriff's officials warned community members "to please realize the phone calls are scams."

"Do not provide money or any personal information," Napa County sheriff's officials said.
