Semi Driver Hospitalized After Slamming Into Guardrail On Napa Roadway

NAPA VALLEY, CA — A semi-truck slammed into a guardrail and overturned on Deer Park Road in Deer Park, sending the driver to the hospital and forcing firefighters to shut down part of the roadway while crews worked to clear the wreck.
CAL FIRE/Napa County Fire Department crews shut down the area around 1100 block of Deer Park Road early Monday evening after a semi-truck struck a guardrail and flipped onto its side.
The crash snarled traffic along Deer Park Road as responders worked to clear the roadway and treat the driver.

The driver was transferred to a local hospital for further treatment.
Recovery crews unloaded the commercial cargo from the rig to stabilize the vehicle and prepare it for safe towing. A heavy-duty wrecker removed the overturned truck.
